OPGW is overhead ground cable with built-in fibers, owing mutual functions of overhead ground cable and optical communication. It’s mainly applied to communication lines which cross 110kV, 22kV, 500kV, 750kV and new built aerial high voltage power transmission system. It also can be used to replace existed ground cable in old aerial high voltage power transmission system, and increasing new optical communication lines, transporting short circuit electricity and protecting it from thunder.
